Photographer, designer and hidden-athlete Jason Hooper of Racer Productions competed today and provided an impressisve 929th place finish. This represents an approxitmate top 50% finish. Beyond simply finishing the position is an impressive feat.
The ironman has roots back to 1978. A group of Navy Seals started an argument about who was the fittest athlete. Commander John Collins suggested that the best way to decide would be to combine the Waikiki Rough Water Swim, the Around Oahu Bike Race and the Honolulu Marathon. Whomever finished first would be a real 'Ironman'. Today it is one of the world's most famous and difficult single endurance event!
ATV Exposed Magazine wants to congratulate Jason for his impressive showing!
Taylor Kiser XC1 Pro #6 GNCC Round #9 Race Report
June 27, 2009 - Motorcycleusa.com Snowshoe- Snowshoe, WV For the ninth round of racing we headed to Snowshoe West Virginia. I had been spending my time in Kentucky with my good friend Bill prior to this round. As with every round of racing, I worked day in and day out to prep for this event. This round of racing would, mark history with a large Pro Purse win and a 20 mile loop which the afternoon event would compete on. Snowshoe is known for its rugged conditions but I welcome these challenges and was confident heading into this round. The most common question I was asked was whether the pro purse was on my mind; and to be honest it was but it was not the most important thing to me heading to the line. There is a National championship up for grabs and it is something I have been working towards for a very long time. Yes, the money would be nice but the points were the main thing on my mind as I headed to the line. I started on the front row of the grand prix style start and head into the woods towards the front of the pack. Privateer Wolf Takes $10,000 Victory at MotorcycleUSA.com Snowshoe GNCC

Wimmer Storms Back Into Victory Lane with Muddy Creek AMA ATVMX Sweep
"I felt great," said Wimmer, who also grabbed the ATVSource.com Top Qualifier Award. "I want to show these guys I can come back and be number one." Wimmer's dramatic return to victory lane came less than two months after he dislocated his shoulder in a practice crash, and then lost the points lead while fighting to come back. In Tennesse, he started moto one in 11th place but charged through the pack. He began the last lap in third place, but got around his teammate Gust for second, and then pressured Can-Am's Jeremy Lawson for the lead. Wimmer nailed an inside line in a hard left-hand turn to get the lead from Lawson and win the moto by less than a second, with Gust right behind them in third. Current series' leader Chad Wienen, also suffering from a bad start, took fourth on his Monster Energy/Kawasaki ahead of Can-Am rider Cody Miller.
